Contest Rules & Guidelines - Essay Writing Contest on NEP Implementation in Goa

Theme

The essay should focus on the participant's personal experience with the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) in Goa, highlighting the challenges they have faced and the opportunities they have discovered.

Contest Timeline

  • Last Date to Register: May 7, 2025
  • Last Date for Submission of Entries: June 7, 2025
  • Result Announcement: July 7, 2025

Rules

  • Essays should be original and written specifically for this contest.
  • No AI content please. We want to hear about YOUR personal experience. Write honestly and straight from the heart! 
  • Essays can be written in English, Konkani (Devanagri or Romi Script) and Hindi.
  • The decision of the judges will be final.

Submission Guidelines

  1. Submissions should be sent via email to goaeducationmatters@gmail.com
  2. Essays can be submitted in handwritten or typed format (Word or PDF documents)
  3. Handwritten essays should be scanned or photographed clearly and legibly, ensuring that the text is readable.
  4. If your submission is accepted, a confirmation email will be sent to you within 48 hours of receiving the submission.

Word Limit

  • Essays should be between 250-1000 words.

Judging Criteria

  • Relevance: How well does the essay capture the student's experience with NEP implementation in Goa?
  • Clarity and Coherence: How clear and well-organized is the essay?
  • Impact: How effectively does the essay convey the challenges and opportunities faced by the student?
  • Originality: How unique and original is the student's perspective?

Prizes

  • Top 3 Winners will be awarded cash prizes - First Place - Rs. 1000, Second Place - Rs. 700 and Third Place - Rs. 500
  • There will be 5 consolation prizes 
  • Special prizes may be awarded to any deserving entries
  • Digital Certificates will be emailed to all participants
